Electronics scene properties
The electronics scene properties are used to set properties relating to any electronic parts in the active scene.
Most options are obvious, but here are some that may need more explanation:
- Show bar voltmeters: displays bars on the wires that indicate the voltage.
- Red-black bars indicate positive voltage and blue-black bars indicate negative voltage.
- Each stripe within the bar indicates 2 V.
- If the voltage is more than 8.5 V the bar voltmeter is drawn as a solid red rectangle, and as a solid blue rectangle if the
voltage is less than -8.5 V.
- Show effects > Logic levels: when enabled, logic signals appear on the terminals of electronic parts. Three possible logic states can be displayed:
| Logic state |
In-scene display |
| logic 0 |
0 |
| undefined |
x |
| logic 1 |
1 |
- Choosing this option makes all electronic parts in the scene indestructible. That is, they are not destroyed when their maximum
ratings are exceeded.
- You can set the internal resistance of all batteries in the scene to 1 ohm, by turning the internal resistance on. Otherwise
batteries have no internal resistance.
- Choose the measure RMS option, to display the root-mean-square values of current or voltage on ammeters and voltmeters.
